Born in Zimbabwe, Paul undertook his schooling at Falcon College. Following a year’s National Service in the Armed Forces, he then went on to complete a Bachelor of Commerce Degree at Rhodes University in South Africa, majoring in economics and marketing.
He started his working career at SAPPI, one of the world’s largest pulp and paper manufacturers before joining the South African Foreign Trade Organisation (SAFTO), where he spent a diverse and exciting four years developing international contacts during the trade sanctions era. His dealings with international traders and exporters kindled his sales interest and in 1989 he opened his own real estate office in Cape Town, which soon grew to 4 offices located in Constantia, Hout Bay, Muizenberg and Sea Point.
In 1994 Paul immigrated to Australia as Franchise Director with the Ray White Group – working with many of its 500 offices and especially so in Qld and Victoria. In 1998, he purchased Ray White Aspley and within six years, transformed this into a 6-office network that is now ranked as one of the top Ray White businesses in Australia, and has won numerous awards.
Paul’s extensive business experience in South Africa as well as Australia has underpinned much of his success in both sales and property management. Today, the business is a diversified group of 7 offices spread throughout metropolitan Brisbane and Ipswich as well as a number of strategic partnerships in Sydney & Melbourne, where they manage properties on behalf of long term investors.
Over the past 10 years, the business has expanded to include a specialist project marketing division and the addition of a Loan Market franchise, one of Australia’s leading mortgage businesses. In addition, Paul has focussed on building a large separate specialist property management business, Ray White (IMS) Investment Management Services. Winning a number of industry awards for property management excellence, this is now ranked as one of the leading businesses in Australia in its field, handling the management of both new and existing homes on behalf of domestic and overseas investors.
Working closely with builders, financial advisory groups and referral partners, Ray White (IMS) is an integral part of their client’s long term wealth creation strategies and recognises the huge responsibility bestowed upon them in being the custodian of the client’s properties and assisting them to reach their long term goals.
