Buyer inquiries strong, house sales holding firm

By Murtaza Bagasrawala

We’re thrilled to see our Group CEO, Robert Green, sharing some great insights into the local property market with Moreton Daily. In a recent interview, Robert mentioned that 2023 got off to a flying start with record-breaking open home inspections for three consecutive weeks.
Can you believe that we’ve had nearly 2500 people through our open homes in the first three weeks of the year? That’s more than the past two years, and we even have more buyers going through our open homes than we did in the boom! It’s pretty amazing.
Robert says that there has been a surge in interest from Melbourne and Canberra, with some buyers even flying in specifically to view properties. Redcliffe peninsula seems to be a popular area of interest, with many people looking for that simple life. Even though interest rates are rising, it’s still more affordable than in the boom.
It’s not just outsiders who are interested in the market, though. Locals are still strong, with both first-home owners and investors keen to buy. According to Robert, a lot of people now have money in equity to invest in properties, which is fantastic news.
We’re excited to see what the rest of the year brings, and we’ll keep you updated on any further developments.
